Male players born in 1991 or 1992 (unless the player is attending high school which allows the player to self nominate) must have been nominated by their local association to be eligible to tryout. Female players trying out for the U12 team (birth years 1992 & 1993) must have been nominated by their local association to be eligible. Female players born in 1989, 1990, & 1991 may be nominated by their local association or self nominated to be eligible to tryout for the U15 level. Male players born in 1990 or before may be nominated by their local association or self nominated to be eligible to tryout.

Evaluators will assess the players trying out and invite certain players to the second day of tryouts. For players who are selected after the second day, there will be a team meeting to include coaches, players and parents. Coach and player introductions will be made, details of the festival will be explained, practice schedules will be handed out and the participation fee will be collected. The participation fee is $225 for team members and $120 for alternates. The participation fee for U12 girls will be $175 for team members and $100 for alternates.
