Congratulations on your nomination to try-out for the 2003 Vermont All-Star Team. The tryout schedule is listed below. There is a $15.00 try-out fee. Tryouts will take place at Cairns Arena in South Burlington, Vermont.

High School Players Are Invited to Self Nominate For Tryouts. Any player with a local youth hockey organization should be nominated by that organization. However, any player born in or before 1989 is allowed to self nominate and try out. We do not encourage self nominees other than high school players. Thus, if you are not nominated by your local organization and are not a high school player please carefully consider whether you have a realistic chance of making the team in deciding whether to participate.

Each player MUST be currently registered with USA Hockey before being allowed on the ice. Please bring your card. If you are not currently registered, you can register on-site at the tryouts for an additional $25.00. Your social security number and a PARENT’S SIGNATURE is necessary for USA Hockey registration. All fees must be paid at the time of registration.

Upon registration, participants will be assigned a number and given a numbered pinney for the tryout. After each session the player must return the pinneys before leaving. After the first tryout session, the evaluators will make an initial cut. If a player makes the first cut, the same number will be reassigned for the second day.

Approximately one hour after the second skating session, the final results will be posted. Fifteen players and two alternate players will be selected for each All-Star Team. The fee for a player who is selected for any of the boys All-Star Teams and the Girls U-15 Team is $225.00 ($120.00 for alternates). The fee for a player selected to the Girls U-12 team is $160.00 ($95.00 for alternate) as there is no festival and there are fewer practices. Fees are due on the second day of the tryout.
