Cross-Ice Comes to Vermont
Essex Skating Facility hosted the state's first Cross-Ice games recently, featuring S. Burlington and Essex Mites.
Cross-Ice hockey is a N.E. Hockey initiative to help Mite level kids develop their skills faster without the technical aspects of the game such as offsides and icing. The kids really enjoyed the new format and it was obvious that Cross-Ice hockey will be a successful new concept in New England Hockey.
